Beginning January 2023, Heather Cooper of Prancing Ponies & Miniature Horses will be accepting a limited number of horses for driving training.

Heather began training horses over 10 years ago as an Amateur, earning many Championships at local shows, and National Show titles using horses she trained.
With Heather, training is a passion and now she wants to share that passion with others and help other exhibitors follow their dreams!

Competing at the top levels of competition is no easy feat, this aspires Heather to do the best job she can with horses under her care. Your horse's success, is also her success! Each horse has it's individual curriculum designed according to their ability.  It's felt you can help enhance and bring out what a horse may be able to do, but you can't make them what they are not. So Heather uses her abilities to make them the best they can be, for who they are and what they're actually capable of. Sometimes that means working up to certain divisions.

Having good and also safe initial ring experiences helps build confidence in a positive way for your horse, so recognizing each horse's character strong and weak areas is a must!

Heather wishes everyone that comes to her with their horse for training is able to enjoy them as she does so makes training affordable as possible. The price of training includes a stall in the barn or turnout, feed according to your horses specific needs (supplements extra) training, grooming, one free lesson per week, and turn out for free time for your horse to be a horse.

Heather's approach is to use distractions while training, before your horse ever even drives at a show!  Safety is number one.

"I met Heather several years ago at AMHR Nationals when I needed help bathing some young horses, and she came to my rescue.  Her work ethic and demeanor with the horses impressed me so much and with her being a fellow Amateur, I knew I wanted to support her somehow.  So I asked her if she’d like to co-own and use a couple of my horses to work and show, and I’m so glad she did!

Congratulations Heather! You have always been there to help us personally and with our horses. I have never been so happy as to see Joe in the cart with Cinco. You helped make that happen! You are amazing with your horses. Your love and care of your equine just puts me in awe of you. I'm so glad you are taking this step.
